Yesterday, all three athletes finally met in one place.
It’s the first time they’ve all gathered since being recruited and the excitement was tangible. Rosie was with us completing the team of five and giving us all a briefing on what we can expect in Antarctica.

Rosie: “Have you pulled tyres before?”
Derek: “Yeah, I used to do it all the time for training”
Rosie: “Great. You can start off just doing a couple of miles then”
Derek: “Miles!? My event was the 400-metres. And I had to build up to that!”
On toughening your feet up:
Rosie: “At the end of every training session, you should soak your feet in surgical spirit”
